Former Miss N.J. competitor is now a finalist on E!'s 'Catching Kelce' dating show
“Catching Kelce,” a “Bachelor”-style reality competition show currently airing on the E! Network, features Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce — searching for the perfect (team)mate.
The show began with Kelce drafting one woman from each state. That field of 50 girls was then narrowed to 20, and finally down to just four contestants for the “Catching Kelce” finale, which airs Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. E.T.
Cape May County‘s Veronica Harwood made it through all the cuts and is one of those four final competitors.
The 25-year-old Eagles fan and Miss New Jersey semifinalist was tailgating at Lincoln Financial Field during last season’s game against the Buffalo Bills when she posted a photo to her Instagram account — just like thousands of other fans were doing during that pregame celebration, according to Philly.com.
A casting agent for “Catching Kelce” happened to see her photograph and left a comment on her picture.
“Hey, I want you to audition for a show I’m casting,” wrote the casting agent under her Instagram handle.
The journey began with several Facetime interviews, before she was finally flown out to Los Angeles for the final, in-person interview with the show’s producers.

Harwood was finally chosen to represent the Garden State in the cast of 50 girls, and spent six weeks living in a Los Angeles mansion while filming the show earlier this year.
Harwood told philly.com that it is “definitely possible” to find love on a television reality show, but takes self discipline.
“You really have to stay true to yourself,” she said. “It’s hard not to get wrapped up into the drama and listen to all these other girls’ relationships (with Travis.)”
Harwood, a lifelong Eagles fan and an aspiring pastry chef, was a favorite of Jason Kelce’s from episode one
“I like New Jersey,” Jason Kelce said. “Know why? She’s an Eagles fan. She’s a diehard Eagles fan.”
Harwood is hosting a finale party at Backfin Blues Bar and Grill in Wildwood at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The finale starts at 9 p.m. on Wednesday on E! Network.
