'Extremely sick' Charlie Puth cancels remainder of tour

Charlie Puth needs some sleep.

The pop star and Rumson native announced Sunday evening that he has canceled the remainder of his Don’t Talk tour, writing on Twitter that he is “extremely sick” due to the rigors of constant travel.

“This is the last thing I want because I love being on the road and performing and meeting every one of you,” he wrote to his fans. “You are the reason I can do what I love most for a living and I am so thankful. I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven’t taken the time my body needs to recover.”

Puth, 24, canceled several dates on his tour earlier this month while he battled the flu.

The “See You Again” singer’s tour recently visited New Jersey, when Puth played the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River Oct. 13.

Puth released his debut LP “Nine Track Mind” in January. His current single “We Don’t Talk Anymore” featuring Selena Gomez is No. 26 on Billboard.
