We tracked down a 1986 UPI story by “Roadfood” writers Jane and Michael Stern in which Stewart sang the praises of her homegrown tube steak.

Stewart stopped by Williams-Sonoma Thursday night at the Mall at Short Hills to sign copies of ”Martha Stewart’s Vegetables” for more than 250 fans. Despite her passion for rippers, she tells OMJ that she is trying to promote a more plant-based diet (well, the hot dogs are fried in vegetable oil …)

She also offered this bit of advice to parents of picky eaters: “Never take [vegetables] off the table. And never put anything else on the table, and they will be hungry and they will eat their vegetables.” For more from the interview, go to OMJ.com.

Ep. 58: Why are we still watching ‘The Affair?'

You can watch Stewart on her new VH1 hybrid talk and cooking show with Snoop Dogg called ”Martha & Snoops Potluck Dinner Party,” which airs Mondays at 10 p.m. and features an eclectic roster of guests, including Seth Rogen, Wiz Khalifa, and Ashley Graham. Jackson Bedford. Brown, the daughter the late singer Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her suburban Atlanta townhouse in January 2016. She never regained consciousness, and died in hospice care six months later. She was 22.

An autopsy revealed a combination of drugs and alcohol in her system, but medical examiner did not rule whether the death was accidental, suicide, or homicide. Brown’s family has alleged that Gordon gave her a toxic cocktail of drugs before placing her in the bathtub.

The civil court case did not reveal anything new about Brown’s death because Gordon refused to participate.

According to TMZ.com, the judge awarded Brown’s estate $15 million for loss of life, which includes her net worth and possible future income, $13 for pain and suffering, $4.2 million because Gordon was allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol when the death occurred, $1.3 million for assault and battery and medical damages, and $1.5 million for conversion, or the theft of Brown’s assets, with punitive damages of $250,000.

Vicki Hyman may be reached at vhyman@njadvancemedia.com.
