Art Garfunkel to perform at Princeton University
PRINCETON – Art Garfunkel, one half of the iconic folk duo Simon and Garfunkel, is coming to Princeton this month to play music, share stories and answer questions.
The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 at Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium, according to a statement from the university. Garfunkel will play a selection of songs from his career and read some excerpts from his upcoming memoir.
Garfunkel, along with his longtime singing partner, Paul Simon, won five Grammy awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award over the course of their career. In 1990, Simon and Garfunkel were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
Tickets to Garfunkel’s performance will open on Dec. 5 for Princeton University students, who can sign up in the ticketing office in Frist Campus Center. Tickets will be available for faculty and staff starting on Dec. 7, and if any tickets are remaining by Dec. 12, members of the general public can sign up by going to http://tickets.princeton.edu
