Dannielynn Birkhead is slowly looking like her late mother Anna Nicole Smith more and more as she continues to grow up. Many can’t help but notice the resemblance when Larry Birkhead recently shared on Instagram a collage photo of him and his 12-year-old daughter celebrating her graduation from seventh grade.
In the photo, Dannielynn looked adorable in a pink-and-white floral ensemble which she teamed with a pair of nude sandals. Styling her brunette hair into a neat bun, the teenager was seen in one picture playfully posing with a couple of “Hamilton” musical tickets, something that Larry gave her as a present.
“Surprised Dannielynn with @hamiltonmusical tickets for her 7th grade graduation,” he wrote in the caption. “I think she was happy! Hamiltonlouisville.”
“So looks so much like her Mother in these photos. A true beauty,” one gushed as another similar praised her, “So pretty like her beautiful mother.” There was also one person who said, “She is so her mother, she is gorgeous! And so lovingly brought up to perfection.” Some others, meanwhile, were surprised to see Dannielynn getting bigger and more beautiful. “She’s getting so big! Bittersweet for sure,” an individual said as one other wrote, “She’s growing up so beautifully.”
Smith died in 2007 from an accidental drug overdose. Dannielynn was still one year old at the time of her mother’s death. As a result of that, she spent her childhood without a mother figure by her side, prompting her to be clingy with female teachers and her friends’ mothers, according to Larry. “She’ll say things like, ‘Do you want to adopt me? Would you be my honorary mother?’ She tends to do that a lot,” he said in an interview.
Last month, Dannielynn paid tribute to Anna when she and her father attended the 2019 Kentucky Derby together. During the annual horse race, the girl rocked a pink hat that Anna wore at the 2004 Kentucky Derby.
